This amazingly designed and luxuriously appointed Resort is located on land that for centuries has been a working cattle station of more than 1.5 million acres. If you ever questioned the vastness of the Queensland outback, Wrotham Park Station definitely puts it all in perspective.
Wrotham Park is located a 45 minute flight (or 300 km) west of Cairns.
The luxurious ’Homestead’ and ten guest ’Quarters’, are located on a spectacular site high above the banks of the Mitchell River. Wrotham Park Lodge caters to a maximum of 20 guests, providing an unparalleled outback experience that brings together wilderness, wildlife and a more than a hint of luxury.
Each morning after a full buffet breakfast with individual hot dishes cooked to suit, guests are transported about an hour away to the daily activities of the working cattle station. Whatever is going on that day is what they are invited to become part of - there are no scheduled tourist attractions here.
At about 2pm each afternoon guests are taken back to the Homestead for a late lunch and relax before pre dinner drinks and canapes at dusk around the 5* campfire around 6.30pm. Then, seated with your fellow guests at the long table, you will be offered either a degustation menu, a four course table d’hote menu or a platter style buffet. Weather permitting, outdoor dining with a gourmet Australian barbeque could also be available.
The relaxed guest lounge features a self-service bar stocked with a range of refreshing beverages, a quality selection of Australian wines and boutique beers, as well as selected spirits and liqueurs. The bar is open 24 hours and guests are encouraged to treat the lounge as their own home.
